Sydney West Area Health Service (SWAHS) manages, operates and maintains 7 major hospitals, accounting for approximately 1,650 beds throughout Western Sydney, Australia.
Due to a number of internal changes, as well as recent staff vacancies, SWAHS identified the need for an Asset Management Review of its organisation structure. In particular, this assignment required Page Kirkland Group to identify and highlight the most appropriate structure over the short term (6 to 12 months) and the long term (2 to 3 years). This structure also needed to address the management of maintenance, capital works and other Facilities Management operations across its hospital and community care portfolio.
